Important Notes Regarding ETC Card Rental Service
1）During the ETC card rental period, please use and manage the ETC card in compliance with the precautions for using the ETC system. You will be responsible for any tolls incurred by third parties using the ETC card during the rental period.
2）Toll charges must be paid in full based on the fees recorded on the ETC card's IC chip (the fees displayed on the toll gate's fee display). Special cases (such as transfer fee adjustments during road closures or discount services offered by some road companies) are not applicable when using this card.
３）If any toll charges are found to be insufficient or unpaid after the rental car is returned, you will be required to pay the additional amount for the insufficient or unpaid tolls.
＜Examples of Cases Where Shortfalls/Unpaid Amounts May Occur＞
- When previously unreported toll charges are discovered
- When usage history/toll charges cannot be confirmed due to ETC card or reader malfunction
- When toll charges are revised/changed due to circumstances at the road company
- When the vehicle is returned to an office where toll charges cannot be read for any reason
4）In the event of loss or theft of the ETC card, please contact the departure office.

5）If the ETC card is lost, stolen, or damaged/deformed due to negligence in use or management, you will be charged a card replacement fee of ¥3,000.
6）If the ETC card is lost, stolen, damaged, or deformed, and usage history/toll charges cannot be confirmed at the return office, a deposit of ¥10,000 will be charged. Should any overpayment or underpayment occur in the deposit when the road company later bills Nippon Rent-A-Car, a separate refund or additional charge will be processed.
7）If the road company inquires about the driver using the ETC card (including after the rental period ends), we may contact you.
8）If the ETC card is not returned after the scheduled rental period ends, we will notify the road company to invalidate the ETC card used during your rental.
9）We assume no responsibility for resolving any disputes or paying damages arising from the use of the ETC system. Please contact the road company directly.
