※ Enjoy the ambiance and refrain from performance-style driving. - ※ All rental vehicles are non-smoking. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, will result in a Non-Operation Charge (NOC).
- In case of an accident or damage, please contact us immediately. Failure to report may result in full repair cost liability.
- ※ Vehicles are rented out in a fully maintained condition. If you experience any issues or abnormalities, contact us immediately.

— The Bluebird Born to Compete in the All-Japan Rally —
In 1987, Nissan introduced the SSS-R, a Bluebird unlike any other.
That “R” stood for neither “Race” nor “Racing.”
It stood for Rally—the R in Rally.
In the All-Japan Rally of that era, simply modifying a fast car was no longer enough to win.
Only machines designed from the ground up with competition in mind were beginning to deliver results.
The SSS-R was born out of this trend.
The engine fitted to the early model was a specially tuned 1.8L turbo CA18DET.
It featured Cosworth forged pistons and a custom stainless steel exhaust manifold.
Furthermore, valve timing was revised and the maximum boost pressure was adjusted, increasing power to 185 PS (a 10 PS increase over the base model) and torque to 24.5 kgf·m (a 1.5 kgf·m increase). The torque peak was also shifted to a higher rpm range, rising from 4,000 rpm to 4,400 rpm.
