This first-generation Savanna RX-7 was registered in October 1978. The RX-7, a two-door coupe with retractable headlights, uniquely leveraged Mazda's mass-produced rotary engine's small size and light weight, utilizing a low-center-of-gravity front-midship layout. This resulted in a driving experience unlike any other Japanese car of its time. Equipped with a 12A type twin-rotor engine, it boasts a front-to-rear weight distribution of 50.7:49.3 and a power-to-weight ratio of 7.58 kg/PS—ideal figures for a sports car.
