About Reservations

What are the conditions for renting a car from Tokimeki Rent-a-Car?

Users must be 23 years old or older and have held a driver's license for at least 3 years (for MT cars, 3 years after obtaining an MT license; for those who have an AT restriction removed, 3 years after removal). For reissued licenses due to expiration, if the back of the license states "Exempt from Beginner Mark," the conditions are met. The same conditions apply to additional drivers.

I will soon turn 23. Can I rent a car?

No. The condition for use is 23 years or older.

I haven’t driven an MT car in a while. Can I rent one for practice?

We do not allow car rentals for MT car practice purposes.

Is membership registration mandatory?

Yes, membership registration is mandatory. Please have your driver's license ready and input your license number accurately, as it will be reflected in the documents.

Does the person who drives the car need to make the reservation?

The reservation does not necessarily have to be made under the driver's name. The reservation will be under the name of the borrower. However, the applicant, borrower, and credit card holder must be the same person. Even if the reservation is made by someone who will not drive, they must be at least 23 years old, bring identification, and visit the store in person. The driver’s registration will be done at the time of visit.

Can I change the pickup or drop-off location?

Pickup and drop-off locations cannot be changed. Please pick up and return the car at the same location.

What do I need to make a reservation?

Reservations are made online, so you will need internet access (PC, smartphone, etc.), a credit card, and your driver's license. For same-day rentals, please contact the store directly by phone.

How can I cancel my reservation?

To cancel a reservation, please contact the reserved store by phone or email. Depending on the cancellation date, a cancellation fee may apply.

Will I be charged a cancellation fee?

If you cancel 10 days before the rental date, there is no fee. For cancellations 9–4 days before, 20% of the base fee applies; 3 days before to the day prior, 30%; and on the rental day, 50%.

How can I change the reservation date or car model?

Contact the store listed in the confirmation email by email or phone. You can also send a message via the inquiry page. Note that some changes may not be possible, and modification fees may apply depending on the request.

If I arrive later than the reserved time, will the fee be reduced? Can I delay the departure time?

The reserved time blocks availability for other customers, so there will be no fee reduction. Late departures are not allowed. Please note that if you do not contact us and are over an hour late, your reservation may be canceled.

About Payment

How do I pay additional charges?

Additional charges will be charged to the card used for the original payment. We do not accept cash.

Which credit card companies do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, JCB, AMERICAN EXPRESS, and Diners Club International. Debit cards with credit functionality are not supported. If used, cancellations are applied without refunds.

About Options

Can I rent an ETC card?

Yes, ETC cards are available for rent at 330 yen per day. Availability is limited; please inquire in advance.

From Departure to Return

Can you deliver the rental car to the airport, hotel, or nearest station?

No, we do not offer delivery services. Please come to our location.

What should I do if I can’t make it on time for my reservation?

Please contact the reserved store. For locations without staff, please call before the reservation time.

About Membership

What should I do if I forgot my email address or password?

If you forgot your email, please contact us via the inquiry page. If you forgot your password, please reset it here.

Can I update my membership information?

Yes, you can update your information via “Edit Membership Information” on My Page.

How can I cancel my membership?

Log in to the website, go to My Page, and select “Cancel Membership.”
